Katie who?!
A native Texan, I spent my first career in advertising and graphic design, chasing curiosity across cities all over the world. That same curiosity eventually led me into a kiln-fired glass workshop, where I fell hard for the medium of glass. I walked out with a head full of ideas, and a passion and business was born.
Why Glass?
Glass offers luminosity that changes with light, colors that stay vibrant forever, and a delicious handfeel which can be rare in art jewelry.
Composed of natural, abundant earth minerals (silica, soda ash, limestone), art glass is born from nature, using the same basic raw minerals as quartz and crystals and similarly achieving its colors from natural oxides, such as iron and copper.
In our process, each piece is fired to 1400°F and carefully annealed for durability.
